  1. Personally, I am a big fan of the Paleo diet. However, I think that there are some common misconceptions about it.

    In caveman times, certainly no one got fat, or suffered many of our modern illnesses. However, people barely lived past the age of 40, and did suffer nutritional deficiencies.

    I think it’s better to frame it as the “modern Paleo” diet, because the principles are excellent and the “diet” itself can barely be faulted. But the paleo meals I cook in my kitchen are nothing like the “paleo” meals that a caveman would have cooked.

    I love the Paleo diet and the book you recommend is a must-read for anyone who wants to get healthier and leaner and have more energy. It’s a great book!

      Great comments… I believe the Paleo premise is to point out the fact that all their ingredients are all natural; hence, back in the caveman days. Nonetheless, you pointed out some great facts…

    Paleo diet sounds new to me. The idea of switching your diet to the old way would probably not suit just anyone. Although I believe it is a better diet, and healthier.

    I remember a time my grandmother picked what I thought at the time were some type of plant leaves, cooked them and we had that for dinner. (I was a child then, I think they were weeds)

    I love vegetation, and I don’t think I’d have any problem with that.
